The Tsunami of darkness is approaching God’s church. One of the causes of this tsunami of darkness is the fact that believers are allowing dark evil spirits to influence and work in their lives. Like Rachel, these believers have stolen or taken idols of false gods. Although the believers haven’t physically taken any idols, they have adopted the false gods’ beliefs and practices for their own benefit. Idols can represent ways or practices that go against God’s commands and will. Many believers might have not known that these ways belonged to false gods but kept these idols because they provided some advantage. They have begun adopting the beliefs and practices of their idols in order to get blessings.
When miracles and healings happen without aligning to God’s will or in opposition to God, then all these miracles are from false gods. Sometimes miracles happen by doing things in a pattern without believing God, then these are also from false gods.
Laban was searching for the idols that Rachel has stolen. The act of stealing is a sin. Only the items that the thief deems worthy are stolen by the thief. Thieves steal things that are valuable. Rachel might have considered the idols as valuable. Rachel has stolen the idols of household gods of Laban. For Laban, the idols became part of his household. Idols had the same importance as his daughters. So, Laban came to take back both the daughters and the idols. By following to the practices and ways of idols, we made it possible for evil spirits to enter our lives. As Laban pursued Rachel, the evil spirits pursue and take over the lives of individuals who stole their idols.
Laban might have discovered and taken away the idols that were with Rachel but could never take back the impressions that were created by the idol. Rachel discovered more effective ways to hide the idol because she was unable to return it. It’s possible that Rachel’s heart held onto the idols. The idols might have clung to Rachel’s heart. Lot of impressions of idols have clung to our heart. Let God purge and remove all the impressions of the idols in our hearts.
Rachel did not repent and come open to Jacob. God was speaking to Jacob and even to Laban. However, God was not speaking to Rachel. Despite knowing the true God, Rachel still kept the idols. Rachel saw God’s miracles but yet kept the idols. Rachel’s beliefs remained the same even after witnessing miracles. Rachel still clung to the idols. Rachel was willfully keeping the idols. God does not have anything to do with willfully sinful believers. God will stop speaking to a person who willfully commits sins. God waits for him to repent and then he speaks. God is silent until he turns to God in repentance. God provides chances for repentance.
These idols can be the belief in false gods, evil mindset, or any ways which are against God. Rachel brought the idols into the promise of God in her life. This is truly a tragic situation; Rachel hid the idols and brought these idols into her God given promises and blessings. One side, God was speaking to Laban and Jacob, Laban and Jacob made a covenant, all these things did not affect Rachel. Rachel still hid the idols. Today also it’s the same, God’s presence is moving but lot of Rachels remained unaffected and untouched. They still don’t experience their lives changing in God’s presence. They are still stubbornly clinging to their idols. God’s presence bypasses these Rachels. God is giving you opportunities while He waits for us to turn from our sin and repent. Repent, turn from your sin and led God’s presence change your lives once again to enter the path for God’s blessings.
Lot of dark forces are working in lives of believers because they approached and followed the ways of false gods for their urgent needs, blessings, healings, etc. The believers opened a door for evil spirits to enter their life as a result of compromises or short cuts taken in order to gain blessings and solutions to urgent needs.
Saul held a position of power, yet following Samuel’s death, the Lord gave him no direction for battle(1 Samuel 28:3). To gain advice regarding the war, Saul went to a witch.
For Saul, the urgent need must be met, whether the answer comes from a prophet of God or a witch. Winning the war is the priority rather than winning the war in God’s way. The urgent need must be fulfilled. A man who loves God does not go to a witch. In order to get an answer for their urgent need, Saul went to went to a witch. Many preachers, pastors, believers in order to get an answer for their urgent needs, have approached diviners, witches and witch doctors. These diviners or witch doctors have induced dark forces into the lives of believers.
This tsunami is approaching to destroy all Rachels – pastors, preachers and believers who allowed and believed the dark spirits.
For all Rachels there is a need for genuine repentance. Only via repentance, God can intervene in all Rachels life to protect and destroy the work of dark forces.
As intercessors do pray for the below points
- Genuine repentance for all preachers and believers who followed the ways and practises of false gods
- All the works of Labans spirit to be destroyed.
- Believers should not approach evil mediums for their urgent needs.
- Repentance from willful sins
