There is a tsunami of darkness is approaching the land. One of the reasons for this tsunami is that God’s chosen vessels are misfiring and malfunctioning. They’re misfiring because they’ve fallen somewhere and lost God’s power. Instead of destroying their enemies, they are destroying themselves. Misfiring can even include the misuse of Gifts of the Holy Spirit. Misfiring gradually leads to an unstable usage of God’s power and gifts. Misfiring can also occur when the Gifts are not used in God’s way and time. They are incapable of hitting and destroying enemy targets.
Over time, these vessels’ have lost the sharpness to penetrate enemy camps. Their prayers don’t have the patience and persistence to get an answer from God. There prayers are empty words without power. Looking at their lives, people see more of the world and less of Jesus. More people are led to sin looking at their lives. They preach Jesus in their sermons, yet their lifestyles and deeds do not resemble the Jesus whom they preach. A saint once said, “Let all the brothers, however, preach by their deeds.”
This is God’s standard of preaching: preach by our deeds and lives more than our words. Our deeds or lives itself become a sermon. For example – People will gain a better understanding of Jesus’ love when they watch us demonstrate Jesus’s love. People by seeing our lives, every Christ like attribute will form words of a sermon. True Sermon is not a collection of many words but a collection of displayed Christ like attributes. Display of Jesus in and through our life is the most powerful life changing sermon. The Christ like attributes we display, speak loudly than words in the hearts of gentiles and non-believers.
People see our Christ like attributes we display in our life as a sermon. Before even preaching a word, people used to see Jesus Christ in Sadhu Sundar Singh’s life. The way we talk to others, love others, and treat others, all of them display Jesus. They look our Christ like attributes we display in our life. These Christ-like attributes will change people’s hearts and lives. Sometimes people don’t understand our sermon from the pulpit, but they understand the sermon we display through our lives. What we follow in life we preach back in the pulpit as a sermon.
These chosen vessels have become unusable in the hand of God. They were once upon a time used by God but now have become irrelevant or calm. God keeps them for their witness, testimony, and remembrance of the past miracles. They are display vessels of God’s marvelous work in the past seasons. They are not a part of God’s current move. Just as Esther was not summoned to the king’s courts or inner chambers for some days, these vessels have not been summoned to the inner courts of Jesus for some time.
They have been in the king’s palace but have been sidelined by God. Some of these vessels have lost the personal communication with the king. Somewhere these vessels have lost their first love for Jesus. They receive all provisions from the king’s palace, but they do not have an opportunity to talk to or hear from God. They don’t share an intimate relationship with God. Some vessels, like Vashti, have disobeyed the Lord’s command and pushed away from the king’s palace.
Some vessels have become unusable in God’s hands, such as Esther (before Haman plots to kill the Jews) in the king’s palace, while others, such as Vashti, have been stripped of God’s authority and relocated outside the king’s palace. Esther may have obtained provisions from the king’s palace, whereas Vashti did not obtain provisions from the king’s palace. In either scenario, neither was summoned to the king’s inner court on a daily basis. Today also they are lot of vessels that were used by God long ago but now are kept unused. They are not summoned to the inner courts of God to commune with God. They don’t share an intimate relationship with God. They have the power or the name of the queen but do not fulfill the responsibilities of the queen. Vessels that do not commune with God on a daily basis gradually become unused.
Vessels like Esther must discover why the king has not summoned them to His inner courts. Maintain a holy yearning or desire for the king to summon you back to His inner chambers.
Vessels such as Vashti must repent of their disobedience and return to the king’s palace to meet the monarch.
While Esther and Vashti were silent, Haman has passed a legislation to harm God’s people. One of the causes of this tsunami is the silence of these vessels.
Pray for the following points as intercessors:
- Restore the working of gifts in the Church
- Preachers to preach sermons by deeds or lives more than words
- Malfunctioning or Misfiring vessels of God to be functioning as per God’s standard.
- Vessels like Esther in King’s palace to be part of Jesus plans
- Vessels like Esther to regain their first love for Jesus
- Vessels like Vashti to repent and come back to God
