Around the sun, there is a layer or atmosphere called the Photosphere that extends for about 200 kilometers. The temperature in this photosphere is 5000 degrees Celsius, the light is above the visible spectrum, the radiations are massive, there are heat waves, and so on. The sun is comparable to God. Like the sun, around God there is a blanket or atmosphere around called Holiness. The natures and attributes of God, such as compassion, mercy, power, truth, and so on, are at temperatures and standards exceeding 5000 degrees Celsius in this atmosphere.
Adam and Eve walked and talked with God in the Garden of Eden. This means they interacted with God in all His Holiness. Their bodies were able to sustain God’s Holiness which is at temperatures exceeding 5000 degrees Celsius. When then sinned, they lost this robe or garment of Holiness that allows them to sustain God’s holiness. As a result, they hid because they couldn’t confront God in all His Holiness. In the atmosphere of God’s Holiness, sin is destroyed. In the garden of Eden, they would have destroyed them if they had remained in this atmosphere or near God in His Holiness. God’s holiness would have destroyed them in the same way that keeping a human at the heart of the sun would. God had no choice but to send them from the Garden because God’s holiness would have destroyed them.
God pushed them out of the Garden of Eden because he had no other option to save them. God send them away from the garden to save them from His holiness. Mankind’s bodies lost their ability to sustain and live in God’s Holiness. Mankind lost their robe of Holiness. They started to live outside the garden with human bodies without the robe of Holiness. According to worldly standards, human bodies can show humanly compassion, mercy, peace, etc. Everything is at earthly temperature of around 40 degrees. This is referred to as man’s holiness or Holy Conduct.
God’s holiness has every nature and attribute of God at a temperature more than 5000 degrees. For example, God’s love is at a temperature more than 5000 degrees. Man’s humanly love is around 40 degrees. It implies that our bodies can only sustain or demonstrate love to a maximum of 40 degrees. There is a lot of difference between Man’s holiness and God’s holiness. We are mixing man’s Holiness with God’s holiness. Man’s holiness is not even holiness. Man’s holiness is a holy conduct. Our holiness is not even 0.0001% of God’s Holiness.
With man’s holiness we cannot approach or enter God’s holiness. We cannot enter or sustain God’s holiness with 40 degrees of love. God wants us to be holy as He is Holy. Our Holiness is the entry point to enter God’s Holiness. Our holiness – how we love others, say the truth, and do not tell lies, etc. – are the first steps towards entering God’s Holiness. Our unholiness obstructs God from speaking to us and also prevents us from entering God’s Holiness. With our holiness we cannot stand or appear before God in all Holiness. Our 100% or perfect holiness does not even guarantee that we will be able to enter and survive in God’s holiness.
We have developed many doctrines for holiness over the years, such as the clothing we wear, our attitude, sacrifice, and humility. In Revelation 6, the servants of God who are killed for the sake of God’s word were given a white robe. God wished to reward his servants, so he gave them the robe of Holiness. White – symbolizes that their lives were pure. The robe could have been in blue color as well. This is not to say that if we wear white clothes and sit, God will shower us with more blessings. Our Holiness by our clothes don’t determine our blessings or spirituality. By emphasizing more on Man’s Holiness through our clothing or human standards of compassion, mercy, and so on, we tend to nullify the need for God’s Holiness. God might have envisioned that the servants of God would be as pure as Jesus, so He gave them the robe which is white in color.
Holy – in a person depends on how much of Jesus’ nature and attributes is displayed in their lives. The amount of Jesus displayed in our lives is directly proportional to how holy we are. Sadhu Sundar Singh lived a holy life; when people saw him, they felt they were seeing Jesus. Holiness reflects the indwelling of Jesus. The more Jesus in you, the more the holy you become. God sees Jesus in you to make you holy. Our views or practices will not make you holy unless there is a revelation of Jesus Christ.
Therefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and rest your hope fully upon the grace that is to be brought to you at the revelation of Jesus Christ; 14 as obedient children, not conforming yourselves to the former lusts, as in your ignorance; 15 but as He who called you is holy, you also be holy in all your conduct, 16 because it is written, “Be holy, for I am holy.” 1 Peter 1:13-16
According to this verse, the revelation of Jesus Christ gives grace to make us Holy. The revelation of Jesus Christ starts the journey from Man’s Holiness to God’s Holiness. This revelation provides grace for us to become holy. The revelation of Jesus Christ deposits divine deposits of God as divine flesh into our bodies, allowing us to know and experience God’s attributes. This divine flesh will be attached to our bodies and will gradually raise our body temperature in order to sustain God’s holiness.
With each revelation, divine flesh will be formed, increasing our holiness from 40 degrees to 60 degrees, 60 degrees to 100 degrees, and so on until we achieve a temperature equal to God’s Holiness. The path from Man’s holiness to God’s Holiness starts with the revelation of Jesus Christ and the application of this knowledge of Jesus in our daily lives. By the revelation of Jesus Christ, divine flesh will be created on our bodies, raising the temperature from 40 degrees to 5000 degrees, and we will journey from Man’s holiness to God’s Holiness. This journey starts on Earth, but it continues in Heaven until we see and become like Jesus in all His Holiness. In our earthly journey of 100 years, we may have achieved a maximum of 100 degrees of God’s Holiness. So, we will continue on this path in heaven for at least 1000 years, until we are like Jesus in all His Holiness.
