A tsunami of darkness is approaching the land. There is no prayer wall that is blocking the tsunami. The believers are trapped in their sins, ignorance, and partying lifestyles because of a compromised gospel. This compromised gospel created an acceptance of sinful lifestyles, mountains of doubts, a lack of God’s fear, and, eventually, made believers into lifeless beings. Because there is no power in the pulpit, believers do not experience the fear of God or have no fear of God. There is no faith displayed in lives of believers because they are filled with mountains of doubt. The sermon from the pulpit does not instill a holy fear of God.
The believers don’t show Godly love because they have not seen Godly love in church. There is no knowledge of God because they have been bombarded with lot of doctrines which tell mountains of lies about God. The pulpits have stopped preaching a simple doctrine about God (with the backing of God’s power and authority) rather a complex doctrine with no power. Because there is no power in simple doctrine, so they resorted to complex doctrines. Complex doctrines can include new doctrines, mysteries, overemphasizing on one aspect or doctrines with less biblical support. These doctrines are difficult to understand and require some effort. Jesus always spoke in parables that everyone could understand.
This complex doctrine created a hype and an excitement about the doctrine and people week after week, longed to hear the doctrine. These complex doctrines draw people to their doctrines rather than to God. The word preached from the pulpit should penetrate and rub into the lives of believers. Only God’s power (with the help of the Holy Spirit) can rub or penetrate God’s word into the lives of believers.
There is a wow factor with complex doctrine, but no power. Word without God’s power and authority is merely storytelling and has no impact on the lives of believers. With complex doctrines, believers will be circling in circles for many years, failing to achieve God’s purposes. These complicated doctrines destroyed our simple faith, love, and trust in God. These doctrines even made us in-approachable to God. These doctrines sometimes established a barrier between you and God.
Nowadays, there are many preachers who preach complex doctrines. They tell new stories and create excitement every time, but there is no God in any of these stories. All saints of God in previous generations preached a simple message about God with lot of power. This message is simple yet was very powerful. God’s power comes or depends on consecration of the vessel. If the vessel is consecrated, he does not need to speak many words. With few words, we can see God’s power. The simple sermon triggers a divine move of God.
But now with these complex doctrines there is no power. We know more about of these doctrines than God. We fell into the trap of these doctrines because we did not discern regarding the doctrines from God.
Believers have the lost simplicity of the Gospel. Believers cannot associate with God in a simple way because of these complex doctrines.
These complex doctrines have created mountains of doubt in hearing and obeying God’s voice. Because of these doctrines, believers are unable to clearly recognize God’s voice. For example – God will bless you based on your tithes and deeds. This is one of the lies. God will bless you because He is your father. We do good deeds and give tithe because we love Jesus. This is the truth.
As intercessors, do intercede for the below points.
1) Pulpits should preach a simple and easily understandable sermon about Jesus. The believers should experience God’s power transform their lives as a result of this sermon.
2) God to break mountains of doubt in hearing God’s voice, doing God’s will, and following God.
3) God to demolish mountains of lies about God and reveal the true knowledge of God.
4) Simplicity of associating with Jesus to be restored again.
5) Believers to discern whether the doctrine is simple or complex.
6) Believers who are stuck in complex doctrines should get out of them and get back on track.
