And I will bring a morsel of bread, that you may refresh your hearts. After that you may pass by, inasmuch as you have come to your servant.” Genesis 18:5
Before the Lord destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah, he went and took rest in Abraham’s house. On his way to Sodom, the Lord passed through Abraham’s place, specifically to rest in Abraham’s house. Despite having millions of angels and gorgeous heavenly dwellings, the Lord of all creation opted to take rest in a mere human’s place. Destruction of Sodom grieved the Lord’s heart.
Abraham though unaware of Lord’s decision to destroy Sodom, he sensed the grief, anguish and uneasiness in God’s heart. So Abraham provided or become a resting place for God to rest and refresh his heart before the destruction. Abraham sensed the anguish of God’s heart without knowing the exact reason of anguish. Sometimes we can also sense grief or anguish in God’s heart without knowing the exact reason, then are we praying when we sense God’s anguish?
These days there are many destructions happening in the world. There will be many destructions and devastations in the end times. However, before every destruction, the Lord is searching for a person who can become a resting place for the Lord (A place where the Lord can rest and be revived). If there is an oncoming destruction in your area, the Lord may be specifically passing through your house, looking for you to become a resting place for the Lord.
Are you sensitive when the Lord is passing by your neighbourhood or house? Is your house (heart) a resting place for God? Is your life a resting place for God, where God can be comforted and refreshed? God is searching for resting places in every location(before disaster), where He might find rest and comfort. The greatest ministry that we can do to the Lord is to become a resting place for the Lord, soothing, comforting, and refreshing Him. In the end times, there is a need of many resting places for the Lord as their many destructions and devastations. Ask God to let you become an end time resting place for him. Be sensitive to God. Don’t let God pass by your house where there is an oncoming destruction in your neighbourhood.
