TS131 – To see God

When most people see God, they see God’s Glory like see marvelous light or heavenly objects, and hear God’s voice, but they rarely see the form of God. In God’s Glory they don’t see the form of God because they don’t use God’s wisdom to view God. We need both our eyes opened and God’s wisdom to see God completely. Our eyes see the Glory of God and God’s wisdom shows the person of God. God’s wisdom does not create a shape, but it creates a picturization (rough image) of God through the understanding of God’s attributes and natures.

In Job 42:5 – Job said, “Now my eye sees you.” God did not appear to him, but instead talked to him through the whirlwind. By hearing from God about himself, Job has seen God. How is this possible? God speaking about himself (His nature and attributes) is the wisdom of God. Job formed an approximate image of God in his heart after hearing God’s wisdom. So, with God’s wisdom, Job saw God’s form and declared, “My eyes have seen you” (though he did not physically see God). We need both our eyes opened and God’s wisdom to see God.
