In the year that King Uzziah died, I saw the Lord sitting on a throne, high and lifted up .. Isaiah 6:1
When we stand at a crossroads in life, without a clear direction, no clear future, and facing the next big decision, what do we do? Prophet Isaiah found himself at the same crossroads when King Uzziah died. The safe and secure future suddenly crashed with the death of Uzziah. The hopes collapsed too. Yet that was the very moment Isaiah saw the Lord seated on the throne. In the crossroads of life when every hope crashes and the future seems to die, that is the time you need to see the Lord seated on the throne.
When Isaiah saw the Lord seated on the throne, everything changed. His calling was renewed, and his vision for the future grew larger and brighter. From that day, he started speaking about Jesus as the suffering Saviour. Notice how the first five chapters of Isaiah carry one tone, and the chapters that follow are so different. They overflow with the revelation of Christ as the suffering Saviour. Isaiah’s hope was not simply restored; it was transformed, and he stepped into the greater plans God had for him. Greater plans of God is the revelation of Jesus as the Crucified Saviour.
So today, if you find yourself at the crossroads of life, where hopes have died, ask the Lord for an encounter to see God seated on the throne. Once you have that encounter, your life will change, and you will begin to walk in a better vision.
A Closing Prayer – Lord, in the crossroads of my life, let me see You seated on the throne. Give me a fresh vision of You seated on the throne. Amen.
