Prophecy is the declaration of God’s authority over a particular situation. There is no YES or No, but always a Yes. There is always a stir / commotion in our hearts when a true prophecy is uttered.
A prophecy first the breaks the prophet rendering him to ask God for forgiveness towards sins of His people and then it breaks the heart of the hearers. In Ezekiel 11, Ezekiel sees a vision of God’s destruction and he is shaken and asks God’s forgiveness on behalf of His people. Then he utters what God has shown / revealed ie God’s destructive authority which comes with power and in an instant a person dies.
A prophecy has tremendous power to shake the present and prepare us into God’s will even if it’s God’s destruction / Judgment.
A prophecy is always self destructive, it either destroys the self(selfish motives and ambitions) in a person or destroys a person in case of unrepentant heart.
A prophecy comes from God’s heart out of pure love for a person and returns to God carrying a person to God.
