Worship is the only one thing that all the living creatures and the 24 elders do, and they do it without a break. It’s a continuous activity without any interruption. They don’t have any other goal or purpose in their lives. Every second and minute they are filled with only one goal i.e. to worship and adore God. They are so caught up or lost in worshipping God for all eternity. They will spend all of eternity worshiping God. Sermons and miracles can have a break, but worship does not have a break. Worship goes on and on. Worshipping God is like the lamp (burning all the time) in the Most Holy place. Worship illuminates our lives bringing the presence of God.
In this generation, Father God is seeking and raising worshippers like the living creatures who worship God continuously forever and ever. He is raising a new generation of David’s who write new songs to praise God and worship in Spirit and truth. He is raising a new generation of Davids who, like living creatures, are able to worship God for a prolonged time (days and months). He is raising a new generation of Davids who will worship God in the Most Holy Place for extended periods of time.
Imagine living a day like the living creatures and 24 elders? How amazing our lives will be? Every second and minute filled with one goal to worship and adore God? Living with such a goal will drastically change our lives. It’s a life of giving – giving praise and honor to God. It’s a life of giving rather than a life of receiving from God. Living life with a sole purpose i.e. giving God the praise due to his name.
