TS346 – Faith that pursues and seeks the Face of God

The Lord said to Moses, “you cannot see my face, for no one may see me and live.” Exodus 33:20

Many patriarchs like Moses, Paul say that – it’s impossible to see God face to face and live and yet they pursue to see God face to face their entire lifetime. It was not an emotional experience for few weeks, but they spend their entire lifetime actively seeking God face to face. It was a lifelong pursuit, a steady and deliberate seeking of God’s face.

The patriarchs knew that it’s impossible to see God face to face and live because of human restrictions, but still they pursued in their journey to see God face to face through faith. They used their faith to pursue God and push forward to overcome all the human restrictions to see God face to face. Their entire lifetime through faith, they pursued to see God face to face.

For what purpose do we use our faith? Do we use faith to seek and pursue God, or do we use it to receive some blessings or healings from God?

Most believers’ exercise faith for personal needs, asking God to heal them or provide for them. Others stretch their faith further, praying for the healing and blessing of other people. But the patriarchs reached higher still. They used their faith to pursue and seek God.

To see God is to possess God. Seeing God is Possessing God. Ask the Holy Spirit to give you the longing and hunger to see God face to face like Moses and other patriarchs. Start using your faith to see and pursue God.
