TS330 – In the light of Eternity

One of the advantages of seeing God face to face on a daily basis is that your perspective of life changes from worldly perspective to eternal perspective. Everything you do will be seen in an eternal perspective. Your prayers will be done in an eternal perspective. Spending eternity with God and God’s eternal plans (or purposes) will get hold of you. You will start doing everything in preparation for eternity and spending eternity with God. You will begin preparing yourself for eternity and spending it with God.

Moses was a person who saw God face to face. Seeing God face to face changed his perspective of life from worldly to an eternal perspective. Moses wrote the Psalm 90; the entire Psalm talks so much about Eternity and how he sees everything from an eternal and everlasting perspective. His prayers and intercession become eternity perspective. His ways of associating and connecting with God also become eternity perspective. He prepared on earth to live with God like how he spends eternity with him. He saw himself in the light of eternity and how fragile is humanity. He even compared Human lifespan to grass that grows during the day and gets cut down at evening.

He was in (belonged to) His generation, but he was not bound or constrained to His generation. His prayers spawned for many generations. Our prayers if you see, it will be at max for 10 years ahead, but Moses prayers spawned for many generations. He was praying for future generations (praying for people who are not yet born). He started to see his life from an eternal perspective, began to associate with God from an eternal perspective, and prayed for many generations. His prayers were covering many generations. We also need such kind of transformation, and we should see everything from an eternal perspective. Our lifestyle should change from worldly to an eternal perspective and everything we do should be done in a way that prepares us to spend eternity with him.

Has your perspective in life changed to an eternal perspective or are you still planning to settle here? Do check your life. Do you see yourself in the light of eternity?
